And away we go!
Here we go, the first entry on my brand-spanking new site.
I’d like to think that eventually I will write one of these a week. That said, I feel that may be unlikely considering how much the weather has really halted my imaging opportunities this season. I do not believe I have taken a deep space photo since probably March. It’s tough, like any other skill it degrades over time.
On that note, It’s August 2022 and I’ve been at this for almost 2 years now, and one thing I didn’t want to do was have anyone that came to this page see the most perfectly processed astrophotos that I can make right now. I’ve certainly gotten better at processing, but part of this whole thing is the journey. If you’re a new imager your progression may be faster than mine, slower than mine, whatever, but there will be one.
As I said before, I am not a super creative person visually, but I am really happy with the results I have come up with (even the bad ones!) because this is a journey that I undertake for fun. If someone wants to come take a look at that progression and criticize, that’s fine….but we already have enough critics out there in the world. Let’s encourage each other.
Someone may see what I’ve gone through and feel like there’s a path down their road or be able to nudge me along on mine. Any of those are good outcomes here.
Anyway, hope you speak to some of you soon.
